Lady Bisons fight to 1-1 tie with Florida Gulf Coast
The Lipscomb Lady Bisons kept their hopes for their first ever postseason trip alive with a 1-1 tie Friday night in Atlantic Sun game against Florida Gulf Coast.

The game was played at the FGCU Athletics Complex in Fort Meyers, Fla.

The Lady Bisons were forced to play a comeback role in the game. Thirty-seven minutes into the first half Amber McCall scored for Florida Gulf Coast.

Approximately one minute later Lipscomb’s Sarah Brummett scored with a shot that went past the right goal post. Brandi Besheres and Kate Spellman were credited with the assists.

Brummett had the only two shots for the Lady Bisons and the only shot on goal. It was Brummett’s first goal of the season.

The Lady Bisons were out-shot 26-2. Florida Gulf Coast held an 11-1 advantage in shots on goal.

Lady Bisons’ goalkeeper Katie Shelton made nine saves. The team was credited with one save.

The Lady Bisons are 4-9-2 overall, 2-4-1 in the A-Sun. Florida Gulf Coast is 7-3-3, 2-1-3 in the conference..
