The Lipscomb Lady Bisons slim hopes for making their first ever Atlantic Sun Tournament appearance were dashed Friday night on a water-soaked field at the Lipscomb Soccer Complex.

In the second to last A-Sun regular season game the Lady Bisons gave up one goal in the first half and two in the second in a 3-0 loss to Jacksonville.

Keri Zwikker scored the first goal for Jacksonville, striking at 31:59 of the first half off of a cross. Zwikker also was credited with an assist.

Jelena Vrcelj scored twice in the second half for Jacksonville, once at 66:32 off of a deflection and again at 71:23.

Jacksonville attempted 20 shots with eight shots on goal. Lady Bisons goalkeeper Katie Shelton made five saves.

The Lady Bisons made eight shot attempts. The only shot on goal was made by Kate Spellman.

The Lady Bisons slipped to 4-11-2 overall, 2-6-1 in the A-Sun. Jacksonville is 8-7-1, 5-3-0 in the conference.

Sunday at noon the Lady Bisons play their last A-Sun regular season game when they face North Florida.
