Linnell picks up College Sports Madness preseason honor

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Lipscomb junior forward, Baylee Linnell, has been named to the Madness 2013 Preseason Atlantic Sun Second Team, chosen by College Sports Madness.

The Nashville native led the Lady Bisons with 10 points a year ago. She notched four goals and two assists, which co-led Lipscomb in both categories.

Starting all 17 games last season, Linnell attempted 32 shots placing 15 on goal. She notched the game-winning goal against Jackson State, a 2-0 victory over the Tigers.

College Sports Madness is an independent college sports website providing previews, predictions, insight and analysis for all teams and conferences in the NCAA.

The Purple and Gold kicked-off practice on Wednesday. The first regular season contest is Friday, Aug. 23 at Western Carolina. The home debut of the Lady Bisons is Monday, Sept. 2 against UT-Martin.
