NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Lipscomb freshman Ellen Lundy has been named the College Sports Madness Atlantic Sun Player of the Week after a breakout game at Alabama A&M.
The freshman earned her first career hat trick in just her second collegiate game and added an assist. Lundy’s efforts helped lead to a 10-0 victory over A&M.
Earning seven points, Lundy set a new school record for points in a game for an individual and helped set a team record for points in a game as the Lady Bisons tallied 25 points during the contest.
For the week, Lundy attempted seven shots, placing four on goal. She ranks third in the A-Sun in points (7) and goals (3). Both of those totals are tops for freshman in the league.
College Sports Madness identifies the highest impact players nationally and from each conference in its weekly feature.
The Lady Bisons host Alabama State Friday at 7 p.m.
