NASHVILLE, Tenn. – After posting two of the best seasons in Lipscomb women’s soccer history, the Lady Bisons have announced dates for the 2015 ID Camp.
The ID camp is scheduled for Saturday Jan. 17 and Sunday Jan. 18. The registration cost in $175.
“Our ID camp has proven to be one of our best recruiting tools in that you get to really know the players in a way that you can’t going out to a recruiting event,” said Lipscomb head coach Kevin O’Brien. “You get to have communication and dialogue. It gives insight into who they are as people, their characters, and ultimately to whether they’d be a great cultural fit here at Lipscomb being that we are a unique Division I Christian university.”
The women’s soccer program is looking for experienced soccer players who fit the cultural mold of a Lipscomb University student athlete and who want to maximize their exposure in the recruiting process.
The camp will include four competitive sessions, two meals, a camp t-shirt, and lots of fun. Spots for the camp are limited to 44 field players and six goalkeepers.
“Not only do you have to be a wonderful soccer player, but you’ve got to be the type of player that would thrive in this environment,” O’Brien said. “We’re excited to host another camp.
“We’ve signed, just in the last two recruiting classes, more than 10 players to scholarships from our ID camps. For us it has been the best way to see, evaluate and ultimately sign top student athletes.”
