Three named to women's soccer A-Sun All-Academic team

MACON, Ga. – Juniors Niamh Rawlins and Anna Buhigas and sophomore Natalie DuBoise were named to the 2015 Women’s Soccer All-Academic Team as announced by the league office on Wednesday.

Buhigas, who also made the Academic All-Conference Team in 2014, earned a 3.50 GPA over the time period that was used to determine the team. The Spanish Teaching major led the A-Sun in several categories during the regular season including: GAA (0.52), save percentage (.901), shutouts (12, a conference record), and goals allowed (10). She also is third in saves with 91.

Rawlins compiled a 4.0 GPA over the allotted time period as a Psychology major. The England native has started in all 18 games for the Lady Bisons, often functioning as the anchor of the conference’s best defense. On offense, the junior placed five of seven shots on goal and even notched a goal.

DuBoise posted a GPA of 4.0 as a Marketing major. The sophomore has collected two goals and three assists, tied for the highest total on the team. She has also posted the second highest shot total on the team, 32, and has placed 17 of those shots on frame. DuBoise’s three assists places her tied for ninth in the A-Sun in the category.

The A-Sun All-Conference Team and Awards will be announced on Thursday.
