NASHVILLE – The Lipscomb women’s soccer team will be hosting a prospect ID camp on January 29th and 30th at the Lipscomb Soccer Complex.
On Friday, there will be one session that lasts from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday will have three sessions; 8-10 a.m., 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.
"These ID camps have proven to be the best recruiting opportunities for our team at Lipscomb," Lipscomb women's soccer head coach Kevin O'Brien said. "Seventy-five percent of our 2016 roster will have gone through our ID camp program, which we think is awesome.
"The reason we have four sessions, when other camps have two sessions for the same cost, is because we desire to get to know the players as thoroughly as possible. We want to make informed scholarship decisions about these girls' and it is imperative to get to know them both on and off the field."
The camp is for commuters only; dorm rooms will not be available for campers to stay in.
High school-aged players are eligible for the camp which will help focus on intense technical, tactical and functional training to help prepare their game for the next level.
Women’s soccer is coming off of its most successful season in program history. The Lady Bisons won their first ever Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament game on the way to reaching the tournament final and finishing second in the conference with a program-best 12-4-4 record.
