NASHVILLE – After eight weeks of technical training, conditioning and weightlifting, the Lipscomb Women’s Soccer team is ready to take the field.
“It exciting for us to have some exhibition games against outside opponents,” said Lipscomb women’s soccer head coach Kevin O’Brien. “Due to some injuries, the spring squad is smaller than we’d anticipated, and therefore limits what we can do in training. These matches will be the first time that we’ve seen 11-v-11 soccer since November.”
The Lady Bisons will play six matches in the month of April, hosting two SEC opponents, Vanderbilt and Alabama, on the campus of Lipscomb University.
“I’m proud of the way the girls have worked so far this spring,” O’Brien said. “The games can now be the reward for all of their efforts.”
Admission to the women’s soccer team’s slate of spring games is free.
