NASHVILLE – As her stellar 2016 campaign continues, women’s soccer forward Olivia Doak has been ranked as one of the top 100 freshmen in the nation by Top Drawer Soccer.
The Shelbyville, Tennessee native has notched a team-best six goals this season to go along with two assists for a team-high 14 points.
She also leads the team in shots-on-goal with 17 and is second in total shots with 29 for a robust .526 shots-on-goal percentage.
In the ASUN, Doak stands at third in goals and goals per game, fourth in points, fifth in points per game, and ninth in total shots.
Earlier this season, Doak earned the ASUN Women’s Soccer Player of the Week award after starting off her career with a bang by scoring all three of the Lady Bison goals over the opening weekend of action.
In the Battle of the Boulevard against Belmont, she tallied the lone strike in a 1-1 draw before adding a goal in each half of a 2-0 victory over crosstown-rival Vanderbilt. She finished the opening weekend as the league’s top goal scorer and points leader with nine.
The win over Vanderbilt marked a milestone for the program as it was the first time the Lipscomb women’s soccer team has ever beaten an SEC program.
Doak and the rest of the Lady Bisons will be back in action on Saturday as they take on USC Upstate at 5 p.m. at the Lipscomb Soccer Complex.
