NASHVILLE – The Lipscomb women’s soccer team is set for a pair of upcoming matches as the Lady Bisons will head to Northern Kentucky and take on Miami (Ohio) at home.

Lipscomb will be taking on NKU on Thursday at 6 p.m., followed by a 4 p.m. match on Sunday against Miami.

Both matches will be available on live stats and live streaming at the links provided.

Scouting the Norse and Redhawks:

  • Northern Kentucky is 3-2 on the season so far. The Norse defeated Ohio 3-2 last weekend. Lipscomb tied Ohio 0-0 at Vanderbilt earlier this season.
  • Emily Soltes and Chloe Mills are tied for the team lead with two goals each.
  • Miami has gotten off to a 2-2-1 start to the season, but have won their last two matches.
  • Patricia Koutoulas has notched 21 saves on the season with one shutout.

Herd Notes:

  • Lipscomb started off the season on a high note, taking down Battle of the Boulevard rival Belmont 6-1 on the road in the season opener before defeating Tennessee Tech 2-1 in the home opener.
  • Junior Olivia Doak won the first ASUN Player of the Week of the 2018 season, and the second of her career, for her stellar opening weekend performance. She notched two goals and one assists against Belmont and added another goal versus Tennessee Tech.
  • Sophomore Riley Henry notched two goals in wins over Belmont and Chattanooga. She now has three two-goal games for her career. Henry and Doak are tied for the team lead with eight points each.
  • Redshirt-junior Maycie McKay doled out three assists in the 3-0 win over Chattanooga, giving her a team-high four on the year.
  • Lipscomb plays three programs each from both the state of Ohio and Kentucky this season, including both of this week’s opponents.
  • The Lady Bisons landed three players on the ASUN Preseason All-Conference Team: senior Justis Bailey and juniors Olivia Doak and Maycie McKay.
  • The Purple and Gold were picked to finish second in the preseason coaches poll. They received 72 votes, slotting them behind the reigning ASUN Tournament champions FGCU who notched 80 votes.
