Women's soccer set for two-game ASUN home stand

NASHVILLE – The Lipscomb women’s soccer team is set for a two-game ASUN home stand over the weekend as the Lady Bisons (8-4-2, 3-1) are set to take on North Florida and Jacksonville.

The Ospreys will visit on Friday at 6 p.m., while the match against the Dolphins will be on Sunday at 1 p.m.      

Both matches will be available on live stats and live streaming at the links provided.


Scouting the Ospreys and Dolphins:

  • UNF is 6-6-1 heading into the weekend, including 1-3-1 in the ASUN.
  • Theis Reiss paces the team with five goals and five assists for 15 total points.
  • JU enters the weekend at 1-11-1 with a 1-4 ASUN record.
  • Goalkeeper Brittany Hundley has made 70 saves on the year.


Herd Notes:

  • The Lady Bisons head into the weekend ranked 10th in the USC South Region Poll.
  • Lipscomb started off the season on a high note, taking down Battle of the Boulevard rival Belmont 6-1 on the road in the season opener before defeating Tennessee Tech 2-1 in the home opener.
  • Junior Olivia Doak won the first ASUN Player of the Week of the 2018 season, and the second of her career, for her stellar opening weekend performance. She notched two goals and one assists against Belmont and added another goal versus Tennessee Tech.
  • Doak won a second Player of the Week award for the season after helping Lipscomb take down No. 23-ranked and undefeated FGCU 1-0 on the road. She now has six goals and seven assists for 19 points, all team highs.
  • Sophomore Riley Henry notched two goals in wins over Belmont, Chattanooga, and NJIT, the last of which she won the ASUN Player of the Week for. She now has four two-goal games for her career. She is tied for the team lead with six goals.
  • Redshirt-junior Maycie McKay dished out three assists in the 3-0 win over Chattanooga. She has three goals, five assists, and 11 points on the year.
  • Goalkeeper Kate Mason has notched 61 saves and a .813 save percentage on the year.
