Alyssa Telang begins her second year as an assistant coach after joining the staff & assisting Coach O'Brien in leading the Lady Bisons to their most successful season in school history in 2014.

The Shelby Twp., Michigan native played collegiate soccer at the University of Kentucky where she was a four-year starter for the Wildcats (2009-12). During her time there, she was a vital instrument in the rebuilding of a top-25 program. As team captain, she anchored a a record breaking back line, and led her team to their first ever NCAA tournament win in school history. She played a total 7,096 minutes on the field - the most of any Wildcat in program history by 200 minutes during her steadfast career at Kentucky. Telang graduated from UK with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology in December of 2013.

During the fall of 2013, Telang offered her services as an undergraduate assistant coach for the women’s soccer team at her alma mater.

This past summer (2015), Telang played semi-professional soccer in the W-League with the Charlotte Eagles where she started and played in every game as a defender.

She holds a United States Soccer Federation National “D” License.
