Putting Thursday’s loss to Kennesaw State behind them, the women’s tennis team evened out their week’s record, posting up a 4-2 victory over the visiting Mercer Bears.

When Mercer visits the Huston-Marsh-Griffith Tennis Center for a 10 a.m. match the Bisons will be seeking their fourth straight match win and third consecutive Atlantic Sun victory. The Lady Bisons face Mercer at 2 p.m. LU has won two of its last three matches.

The Lipscomb men’s and women’s tennis teams sent both Western and Northern Kentucky home empty handed this weekend after posting up two wins a piece.

The Lady Bisons face Western Kentucky Friday afternoon at 6 p.m. at Whitworth Racquet Club. The Bisons also face the Hilltoppers Friday afternoon at 7 p.m. at Richland Country Club. Saturday afternoon at 5 Northern Kentucky visits to play Atlantic Sun matches against the Bisons and Lady Bisons.

The Lipscomb women’s tennis team returned to Nashville on Wednesday after two consecutive road losses to Florida Gulf Coast and Stetson. Unfortunately, the return was met with a tough 4-3 nonconference loss to the Northern Iowa.

The Lipscomb women’s tennis team lost its second conference match of the weekend after falling to Stetson 7-0 on Saturday in a road match.

The Lady Bisons, 5-2 losers at Florida Gulf Coast Thursday to start the A-Sun portion of the season. The Purple and Gold will face a formidable Stetson team Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Mandy Stoll Tennis Center.

The opening match of the Atlantic Sun Conference women's tennis season begins today as the Lady Bisons travel to Florida Gulf Coast.

The Lady Bisons tennis squad beat Tennessee State 7-0 on Friday night and fell 4-3 to Liberty on Saturday afternoon. A-Sun action begins need week at FGCU.

Following Tuesday’s 4-3 road win over Austin Peay, the Lipscomb women’s tennis team looks to finish strong in non-conference play as they host Tennessee State University Friday at 2 p.m. and Liberty Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Huston-Marsh-Griffith Tennis Center.
