NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Following Tuesday’s 4-3 road win over Austin Peay, the Lipscomb women’s tennis team looks to finish strong in non-conference play as they host Tennessee State University Friday at 2 p.m. and Liberty Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Huston-Marsh-Griffith Tennis Center.
The two matches will serve as the final tests for the team before the A-Sun teams begin to show up on the schedule.
Lipscomb coach Andrew Harris said he hopes the team’s two-game win streak will carry over into the weekend’s competitions.
“After the last two matches against Austin Peay and UT-Martin, the girls are building on some good momentum right now heading into our last weekend before conference play,” Harris said. “I know TSU and Liberty both will present their own challenges. We need to continue to stay focused on what we can control, and right now, that means getting better each match.”
Conference play is set to begin with a road trip to the Sunshine State and a match against Florida Gulf Coast on Thursday, March 14.
