Jamie Aid is returning home…again. She attended Samford University for one year in Birmingham, Ala., but returned to her hometown of Nashville to play tennis for Lipscomb University. Nicole Burgess played both basketball and tennis for the Lipscomb. She has been teaching in the Metro Public School System in Nashville for 23 years, the last three at Hume-Fogg Magnet. She was named the Metropolitan Public Schools 2011 Teacher of the Year in the high school division.

Frankie Mayo Williams is a member of the Lipscomb Athletics Hall of Fame and is one of the top tennis players to compete as a Lady Bison. She was the team captain and played the No.1 position in both singles and doubles all four years. She graduated from Lipscomb in 1976 with a degree in Home Economics.

Trish Hodgson-Carruth, a former coach, teacher and student at Lipscomb University passed away Thursday night, Jan. 8, after a long battle with cancer and complications. She was known for her professionalism, honesty and integrity. She was inducted into the Lipscomb Athletic Hall of Fame in 2003.
