Raphaela Jann Saturday, March 07, 2009 The Lady Bisons dropped their second Atlantic Sun Conference match against the University of South Carolina-Upstate 7-0.
Senior Raphaela Jann and sophomore Claire Landry continued their strong doubles play, but lost 8-5 to Carolina Bello and Cinthya Lazaro.
“We keep improving in doubles and Jann and Landry had a great match today,” said Lady Bisons coach Kristin Lusk. “They are playing really tough."
It was the 13th straight A-Sun match win for USC Upstate.
“We've played ETSU and USC Upstate this weekend, which are two of the best teams in the conference," said Lusk. “It was a tough weekend for us, but we've got to bounce back and get ready to play Wofford Sunday morning."
The Lady Bisons will continue to seek a road trip win Sunday, March 8 in a non-conference match against Wofford in Spartanburg, S.C.
The Lady Bisons, 4-4, are back home March 11 against IPFW at 4 p.m. The location is yet to be announced.
