Lipscomb was defeated by No. 70-ranked UNF 7-0, leaving them with a conference record of 0-3 and 4-8 overall.
The Lady Bisons came up short in doubles play, losing the doubles point in straight matches.
After taking the lead early, Elizabeth Keevil and Mackenzie Bishop fell at No. 1 doubles to Berkenbrock and Castro 8-4.
At No. 2, Kara Jackson and Danielle Hansen had the same outcome, falling to Aguirre and Day 8-4.
Julianne McMeen and Carlina Jow came up empty handed, losing to Holton and Krook 8-0 at No. 3.
The doubles losses sent Lipscomb into singles play with a 1-0 disadvantage.
Bishop put up a tough fight at No. 1, but unfortunately could not pull out the win against A-Sun Conference player of the week, falling to Berkenbrock 7-5, 6-3.
At No. 2, Keevil struggled to find her rhythm against Castro, losing 6-0, 6-1.
With a 3-0 deficit, the Lady Bisons struggled to keep UNF from clinching the match.
Hansen could not change Lipscomb’s luck, falling at No. 3 to Day 6-1, 6-0.
Jackson lost at No. 4 6-2, 6-0 to Krook, while Jow fell at No. 5 to Aguirre 6-1, 6-2.
McMeen also came up short, losing 6-0, 6-1 to Holton at No. 6.
The Lady Bisons finished the match scoreless, losing 7-0 in their second face off with a nationally- ranked team.
“We had our chances to win the pro-set at number one doubles but let it slip away from us,” coach Kristin Lusk said.
The Lady Bisons will face Jacksonville in another conference match on Sunday morning, March 14. The match, rescheduled from Friday due to rain.
