Lady Bisons shut down by ETSU
The Lady Bisons fell to 1-2 in Atlantic Sun conference play on Saturday when they were bageled 7-0 by East Tennessee State University.

"The ETSU team was a strong team,” women’s assistant coach Jamie Aid said. “We need to execute points a little better and have more confidence in the first set. We will continue to work on strategy before we play Stetson and FGCU. I’m looking forward to spring break matches with our team"

The Lady Bisons were swept in the doubles point, losing all three matches.

Senior Kara Jackson and freshman Alyssa Bellini were defeated at No. 1 doubles by Keozo and Jaime 8-5, while juniors Elizabeth Keevil and Danielle Hansen fell to Holtzhansen and Wieliczko 8-2 at No. 2.

At No. 3, sophomore Carlina Jow and senior Julianne McMeen fell to Naurotska and Voinea 8-3.

Already down 1-0 heading into singles play, the Lady Bisons lost all six of their singles matches to complete ETSU’s sweep.

Keevil was defeated at No. 1 singles 6-2, 6-0 by Jaime, while Jackson fell to Holtzhansen 6-1, 6-1.

At No. 3, Bellini posted the Lady Bisons’ strongest results with a 6-2, 6-4 loss to Wieliczko. Hansen was defeated 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4 by Keozo, and Jow fell 6-2, 6-2 to Voinea at No. 5. McMeen lost to Naurotska 6-0, 6-0 at No. 6.

The Lady Bisons will head out to Florida for spring break. Their first match will be Thursday, March 17 against Stetson at 1 p.m.
