NASHVILLE Tenn. –The Lipscomb Lady Bisons tennis team will play Austin Peay University at the Whitworth indoor tennis facility Saturday.

The match will begin at 6 p.m.

The Lady Bisons, 4-2, lost 7-0 at Middle Tennessee Sunday. The Lady Bisons are 3-0 on their home court.

“We did not convert game points against MTSU when we needed to so we tailored our drills this week to make sure we execute,” Lipscomb coach Jamie Aid said. “The girls have had a really good week of practice.

“They have showed great focus during practice and that's what we wanted. During practice we created a lot of pressure situations this week especially on serves.”

Aid wants to bolster the success of the doubles teams.

“We are looking to continue to build the doubles up,” Aid said. “We hope to see an improvement there against APSU.

“We have talked a lot this week of playing relaxed, playing our system and owning our individual games. Our girls are in great spirits, rested and ready to take the court again.”

The Lady Bisons have been playing a challenging non-conference schedule. Aid expects the tough matches to produce more wins when Atlantic Sun play begins.

“These non- conference matches are so important to us because we don't have room for setbacks,” Aid said. “We have to have growth every practice and every match so we produce the results we want come conference time.”
