Women's tennis travels north to face Morehead State

MOREHEAD, Ky. - The Lipscomb women’s tennis team will make a trip to Kentucky to play Morehead State University on Thursday.

The Lady Bisons are 5-3 this season.

“Our entire goal this week is to play with confidence,” said Lipscomb women’s tennis coach Jamie Aid. “As we come closer and closer to conference play we have to make sure we are playing our best tennis.

"The girls feel good about where they are from a stroke standpoint. We have continued to work on playing smart all week in terms of decision making with the ball."

Morehead, from the Ohio Valley Conference, is 2-5. Aid likes the fact that the Lady Bisons are on the road.

“We have to become more comfortable in different environments other than our own courts," Aid said. "We are undefeated at home this season, so far we have only won one away match.”

The Lady Bisons travel Thursday morning to Morehead. Matches begin at 2 p.m.
