Women's tennis cancels match with Samford

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Lipscomb Lady Bisons tennis team has cancelled Wednesday’s match at Samford University in Birmingham, Ala.

The Lady Bisons split the opening weekend of Atlantic Sun Conference matches with a 4-2 loss at Mercer and a 5-2 win at Kennesaw State in Kennesaw, Ga.

After playing at Kennesaw the women’s tennis team made the short trip to downtown Atlanta where they spent a couple of days working with Rescue Atlanta which provides services for the  homeless.

“The weekend was wonderful minus the Mercer loss,” Lady Bisons coach Jamie Aid said. “We all had an amazing time serving. It was draining and felt like we couldn't play Samford.

“We grew together. We learned a lot. Hopefully we left a lot behind.”
