Women's tennis wins seventh straight match

JONESBORO, Ark. – The Lipscomb women’s tennis team continued its winning ways Saturday with a 4-0 defeat of Arkansas State.

The Lady Bisons are 8-2 and have won seven matches in row. Arkansas State is 0-6.”

“I thought the girls did great job being in a car for four hours and stepping out to put up a 4-0 win,” Aid said. “This was our first outdoor match of the season and there is obviously a transition going from indoor to outdoor with the speed of the game.”

Laura Kent at No.3, Hanna Victorsson in the four spot and Danielle Kinnen at No. 6 won singles matches, all in straight sets, before the match was called.

In doubles Kent and Melissa Kromer at No. 1 and Hanna Victorsson and Kate Kandyba won at No.3.

“Doubles was a little slow,” Aid said. “Our timing was off playing slower balls.

“Our girls really picked up the energy after a tight doubles point to clinch this road match. I look forward to coming back to Nashville to prepare for Murray State at home.”
