Djuknic earns spot on A-Sun women's tennis All-Academic Team

MACON, Ga. – Lipscomb’s Lorena Djuknic earned a unanimous spot on the 2016 Atlantic Sun Women's Tennis All-Academic Team. 

Djuknic, a senior in Corporate Marketing, has a 3.76 grade point average. She is from Zagreb, Croatia. She was one of five unanimous choices.

She is 6-3 overall in singles this season and 4-2 at the No. 6 spot. She has won her last two matches with straight set victories at Samford and Kennesaw State.

“Lorena is an extremely hard-working person both on and off of the court,” Lipscomb coach Jamie Aid said. “She is a true representative of this team and this program in how she acts with her teammates and her desire to be competitive in everything she does. On the court she is extremely competitive.”

The A-Sun All-Academic Team recognizes student-athletes who excel both on the court and in the classroom and exemplify the A-Sun's mission of Building Winners for Life. All members of the team boast a 3.30 cumulative grade point average or better and participated in at least half of their team's games.
