Dzyuba named women's tennis ASUN POTW

LAKEPOINT, Ga. - Viktoriya Dzyuba becomes the first student-athlete in Lipscomb history to capture three ASUN Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week honors after she extended her unbeaten singles record to 13 matches.

Dzyuba continued her winning ways on the court over the past week with singles victories against Stetson's Arijana Korac and North Florida's Michelle Valdez as the sophomore improved to 16-3 at the No. 1 spot. She opened the wee with a 6-3, 6-2 decision against Korac before moving on to a three-set victory against Valdez, 6-2, 6-3, 6-3. Playing with Denise Buberl in doubles action, Dzyuba added two doubles victories at the top spot to push their win streak to six.

Lipscomb hits the court again on Saturday, April 8th at FGCU in Fort Myers before concluding conference play on Apr. 15th against Kennesaw State.
