Road trips to Murray State and Alabama on tap for women's tennis

NASHVILLE – The Lipscomb women’s tennis team is scheduled to hit the road again this weekend, making trips to Murray State and Alabama.

The Bisons will face the Racers on Friday at noon, before traveling to Tuscaloosa, Alabama to face the Crimson Tide on Sunday at 4 p.m.

Lipscomb (3-1) is no stranger to the road, having already played away matches at Middle Tennessee and Northern Kentucky in the first two weeks of the spring season.

A strong performance in both singles and doubles propelled the Bisons to a pair of 4-1 wins over ETSU and NKU last weekend.

Denise Buberl, Madeleine Brooks, Vika Dzyuba and Kate Popova all tout three wins in singles on the season, while Brooks and Buberl pace the team at 3-1 in doubles.

Murray State opened its season last weekend with a pair of 7-0 victories over Cumberland.

Alabama enters the weekend 4-0 on the season with three shutouts under its belt. The team is a combined 23-1 in singles play and 9-0 in doubles.

Senior Andie Daniell carries a No. 47 ranking in singles.

UA defeated Lipscomb 6-0 last January in the only meeting ever between the two sides.
