Women's Tennis visits ETSU on Saturday

NASHVILLE – The Lipscomb women’s tennis team is scheduled to hit the road again this weekend with a trip to Johnson City to take on ETSU at the Dave Mullins Complex on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.

Lipscomb (1-6) is no stranger to the road, having already played five of its six matches away from home in the first three weeks of the spring season.

A strong performance in both singles and doubles propelled the Bisons to a 7-0 sweep of IUPUI last weekend at the Whitworth Racquet Club.

Denise Buberl, Liza Diachenko and Kate Popova all tout three or more wins in singles on the season.

SCOUTING ETSU
The Bucs are 3-4 this season and are looking to improve to 4-0 on Saturday when playing after a loss. Last weekend the Blue and Gold defeated Cincinnati 5-2 Saturday before falling to MTSU 4-3 Sunday.

The Bucs are led by Laylo Bakhodirova (Tashkent, Uzbekistan) at the top singles spot. Last weekend she went 2-0 in singles and 1-0 in doubles action. Her 3-0 combined record led to her first Southern Conference Player of the Week accolade.
