The Lipscomb track and field teams had a trio named the Atlantic Sun Conference Track and Field Athletes of the Week. Tucker Peabody, Taylor Mason and Katie Bunker garnered the honors after their strong performances last week at the Billy Hayes Invitational in Bloomington, Ind.

Two school records fell at the Billy Hayes Invite in Bloomington, Ind., as the Lipscomb track and field team completed its last meet before the Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament next week.

The Lipscomb track and field teams compete in their final tune-up before the Atlantic Sun Conference Championships on Friday at the Billy Hayes Invite hosted by Indiana University.

Closing out the Nashville portion of their schedule, the Lipscomb track and field teams completed the Vanderbilt Invite on Saturday with a first place, a second place and a trio of third place finishes.

Staying at home for the weekend, the Lipscomb track and field teams completed the first day of the Vanderbilt Invite on Friday. Although there was not a lot of events ran, the Purple and Gold made its mark on the meet in the form of Tucker Peabody.

The Lipscomb track and field teams will attend a two-day meet this weekend but get the convenience of sleeping in their own beds. The Purple and Gold will be competing in the Vanderbilt Invitational just three miles up the road on Friday and Saturday.

The Atlantic Sun Conference has announced April Terry and Tucker Peabody as this week’s Track and Field Athletes of the Week.

Jenny Randolph, an assistant coach for the Lipscomb track & field and cross country teams, and former LU runner Caitlin Anderson, participated Monday in the Boston Marathon.

With just 21 competitors this weekend, the Lipscomb track and field teams split up between the hometown Boston-Moon Classic and the Ole Miss Invite in Oxford, Miss.
