MACON, Ga. – Tucker Peabody and Dani Walker continue to turn heads after both were named to the Atlantic Sun Academic All-Conference Team.
To qualify for the honors, both athletes were required to maintain a minimum GPA of 3.30 and participate in at least half of the team’s events.
Peabody, a senior Pre-Med major from Memphis, earned his place on the All-Conference Team with a GPA of 3.33 while Walker, a Kinesiology major from Wichita, Kan., took the honors with a GPA of 3.32.
So far this season, Peabody has broken the school record in the 60 meter and the 300 meter after posting times of 6.84 and 33.57 respectively.
Peabody also swept the competition at the A-Sun Indoor Championships a couple of weeks ago after finishing the 200 meter dash in 21.69.
Dani Walker also captured three impressive first-place finishes at the A-Sun Indoor Championships finishing the 800 meter in 2:13.31, the mile run in 4:55.68, and the 3000 meter run in 9:46.49.
Walker currently holds the best time in the conference in the 3000 meters posting a time of 9:37.98.
Peabody and Walker will look to continue their streak of achievements during the outdoor season, set to begin as the Bisons head to Memphis to compete in the Rhodes Open on March 15.
