Farmer shoots team-best 70 in first round

SPRINGFIELD, La. – The Lipscomb Bisons completed the first round of the Carter Plantation Intercollegiate earlier Monday and are in fourth place.

LU is five strokes behind Southeastern Louisiana, the host team. The Bisons covered the first 18 holes with a team score of 295. Southeastern Louisiana shot 289 as a team.

South Dakota is in second with a 293. Austin Peay is third with a 294.

Blanton Farmer is tied for fourth place after one round with a 70. Farmer had five birdies on the first 18 holes.

Lipscomb is the only team with more than one eagle after one round. Dustin Wilder and Taylor Combs each have one.

Ryan Terry is tied for 12th with a 72. Combs is in a tie for 26th with a 76. Paul Kleine-Kracht and Wilder are tied for 34th with 77s.
