Men's golf set to tee it up at the Bluegrass Invitational

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Lipscomb men’s golf team looks to wrap up the regular season on a strong note as the Bisons travel to Lexington to take part in the Bluegrass Invitational hosted by the University of Kentucky.

The two-day, 54-hole tournament will begin Saturday, April 12 and wrap up Sunday, April 13 at the University Club. The first 36 holes will be played on Saturday with a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. The final 18 will be played Sunday. The University Club is a par-72 course that stretches 6,992 yards.

Joining the Lipscomb in the13-team field is Auburn, Bradley, Cincinnati, Dayton, Eastern Kentucky, Kentucky, Morehead State, Northern Kentucky, SIU-Edwardsville, Tennessee Tech, Valparaiso and Wright State. 

Last time out for the Bisons, they finished fourth at the First Tee Classic in Little Rock, Ark. Junior Caston Roberts led the team and finished fourth overall after firing a three-round total of 221 (76-69-76).

The Bisons have collected two wins in the 2013-14 season and will be looking to capture a third this weekend. A round-by-round recap will be provided on each day.

Following the Bluegrass Invite, Lipscomb will travel to Braselton, Ga. for the 2014 A-Sun Championship on April 20-22.
