Bisons Fall in Battle of the Boulevard

Bisons Tallied Ten Runs

Box Score

NASHVILLE, Tennessee -
Lipscomb delivered one of its most complete offensive performances of the season in a hard-fought 11–10 battle against Belmont, showcasing resilience, firepower, and relentless energy from start to finish.

The Bisons came out swinging in the first inning, igniting the crowd with a five-run frame. Josephine Heuberger got things rolling with a clutch two-RBI single, and moments later, Elizabeth Martin launched a three-run home run to cap off an explosive start and give Lipscomb early control.

After Belmont answered, Lipscomb refused to back down. In the second inning, Mallory Ogle ripped an RBI double to spark momentum, while Heuberger continued her standout day with another RBI knock. Kyla Jobe followed with a huge RBI triple, pulling the Bisons within striking distance and energizing the dugout.

Lipscomb's grit was on full display in the third inning, battling all the way back to take a 10–9 lead. Presley Rader drove in a run with a productive at-bat, and Jobe delivered again—drawing a bases-loaded walk to push the Bisons in front.

At the plate, the Bisons tallied 12 hits with multiple players stepping up in big moments. Heuberger led the way with three RBIs, while Martin and Jobe each added two-plus RBI performances. Brenna Sherman set the tone at the top of the lineup with a strong multi-hit day, helping fuel the offense throughout.

Despite the late push from Belmont in the seventh, Lipscomb continued to battle until the final out. Belmont's closing pitcher, Maya Johnson, finished the final inning, recording three strikeouts to secure the win.

The Bisons will face Bellarmine at home this weekend in a three game series starting on Saturday, April 18th.
