Lady Bisons lose two at Hawaii  Spring Fling
The Lipscomb Lady Bisons fell 3-0 to No. 12-ranked California Thursday and 8-0 to host Hawaii in the second day of the Hawaii Spring Fling in Honolulu, Hawaii.

The Lady Bisons are 1-3 in the tournament. This was the third time this season the Lady Bisons have been shut out. They lost 3-0 on the first day to Hawaii. The Lady Bisons have one game left with each team.

Hawaii scored two runs in the first inning, four in the third and two in the fourth.

Alaina Jacobson started the game for the Lady Bisons. She gave up three hits and two runs in two innings. She walked one and struck out two.

Whitney Kiihnl pitched two innings. She scattered six hits and gave up six runs, all earned. She struck out three.

Abby Keese led the Lady Bisons with two hits, one a double. Mackenzie Tucker and Bree Thurman each had a single.

California scored all three of its runs in the second inning. A single to right field by pitcher Jolene Henderson brought in two runs. Jamia Reed doubled to left field to score the third run.

The Lady Bisons were held to four hits for the second game in a row. Lauren Dortwegt, Keese, Christen Campbell and Mackenzie Tucker each hit a single.

Jacobson started for the Lady Bisons. She last 2.1 innings. She gave up four hits and three runs, all earned. She walked three and struck out one. Jacobson fell to 1-4.

Campbell shut down California for 3.2 innings to close out the game. She struck out six and gave up only two hits. Henderson went the distance for California. She struck out 11 and walked one.

The Lady Bisons are 20-5.
