Women's golf finishes day two of Kiawah Classic

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. - The Lipscomb women's golf team finished day two of the Kiawah Island Classic in 41st place on Monday at the Osprey Point Club.

The Lady Bisons shot a +38, 326 in the second round of the 54-hole event. Lipscomb sits just a few strokes behind Indiana State and Bucknell.



  • Lauryn Davidson led the way for Lipscomb for the second day in a row with a +6, 78. Total she has posted a +11, 155 to place in a tie for 123rd.
  • Lily McDonald is next in line for the Lady Bisons. She has notched a +14, 158 so far in the tournament, placing her in a tie for 152nd.
  • Emma Wasson, Jenny Muesing, and Charley Benefield all finished close together in the third, fourth, and fifth slots for Lipscomb.
  • Wasson is tied for 190th, and has scored a +21, 165 so far. Muesing sits in a tie for 207 with a score of +27, 171 overall, and Benefield is in 213th after notching a +30, 174 through two days of action. 
  • College of Charleston held onto first place after two days with a score of 279 for the day and 567 overall.
  • Jacksonville State's Valentina Giraldo is still in first place after day two after shooting a -4, 68. Her total score sits at 137. 
  • The third and final round is set to start off at 7:45 tomorrow for the Lady Bisons.
