MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Lipscomb women’s tennis team is headed up north for their second match of the season as the Lady Bisons are set to compete in the Milwaukee Tennis Classic on Thursday and Friday, hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

The event will be played at Western Racquet Club, with the final held at the Al McGuire Center on the Marquette University campus.

The competition features players from 18 other schools, Oklahoma State and Arkansas, in a 64-player singles draw and a 32-team doubles bracket.

Lipscomb will carly only Vika Dzyuba and Kate Popova as both will play in singles and doubles.

The winners of the tournament will earn wild card entries into the main draw at the Oracle ITA National Fall Championship (Held Nov. 7-11 in Surprise, Arizona).

Last weekend, Lipscomb kicked off the fall campaign with a strong debut at the Greater Cincinnati Invitational in Mason, Ohio.

The Lady Bisons won seven of their eight draws and went 16-1 for the tournament as a whole, dominating the competition which featured Cincinnati, Dayton, Xavier, and Western Kentucky among others.
