Senior outfielder Drew Adams has been named the Atlantic Sun Conference Player of the week after a 10-RBI week that helped lead the Bisons to a perfect 5-0 week.
The bats continued rolling for the Bisons on Sunday afternoon with a 12-hit, 7-2 win over Oakland to complete a 4-game sweep of the Golden Grizzlies. The Purple and Gold have now won seven straight, tying the longest winning streak in the NCAA era.
Bisons head coach Jeff Forehand earned career victory No. 400 on Sunday afternoon as the Bisons took both ends of a doubleheader from Oakland.
The Bison offense pounded out 13 hits and drove a baker's dozen across the plate as the Purple and Gold defeated Oakland 13-6. Senior right fielder Drew Adams drove in five runs behind a home run and a triple.
The Bisons continue home action this weekend hosting Oakland for a four-game set on campus. The series gets underway at 4 p.m. on Friday followed by a Noon twinbill on Saturday and the series finale on Sunday at 1 p.m.
