Hwang deals baseball to midweek win over Tech
It has been almost two years since Jaesung Hwang recorded his last win on the mound, but his performance on Tuesday showed fans he has not lost his touch. The redshirt junior tied his career high with seven strikeouts to carry the Lipscomb baseball team in a 7-1 win over Tennessee Tech Tuesday.

After dropping its last two games, the Lipscomb baseball team will look to get back on track this weekend when the La Salle Explorers makes the trek to Music City for a three-game series at Ken Dugan Field. Friday’s first pitch has been moved up a couple of hours to 2 p.m.

The Lipscomb baseball team gave up three runs in the final two innings to drop a 5-2 midweek tilt to in-state foe Austin Peay Wednesday night at Ken Dugan Field at Stephen L. Marsh Stadium. Massey extended his team-best 14-game hitting streak and has now reached base in 20 straight games.

After canceling Tuesday’s game at Tennessee due to inclement weather, the Lipscomb baseball team has since scheduled a Wednesday afternoon tilt with in-state foe Austin Peay. First pitch at Ken Dugan Field at Stephen L. Marsh Stadium is set for 2 p.m.

After falling victim to Tennessee over the weekend, the Lipscomb baseball team will look to even the season series Tuesday when it travels to Knoxville to face the Volunteers in a 3 p.m. CT midweek tilt at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.

The Lipscomb baseball team entered the ninth inning tied with Tennessee, but costly mistakes vaulted the Volunteers to a 6-0 win Friday evening on a snow-covered Perfect Game South Field at the Lake Point Sporting Complex.

The Lipscomb baseball team has canceled its weekend action at Ken Dugan Field due to inclement weather conditions in the Nashville area. The games will not be made up. Also last week's postponement with Middle Tennessee will now be played on March 25th at 6 p.m. in Murfreesboro.

He has been coaching at Lipscomb Academy for 38 years and has guided his baseball and girls basketball teams to eight combined state titles. He is pictured above with his son, Keith (left).
